Solar system Buderus Logasol SAT-DES with convincing efficiency and compact size

The Logasol SAT-DES system from Buderus efficiently integrates central solar systems for heating hot water in apartment blocks with decentral heating systems. This is essentially achieved through the completely pre-assembled floor station AV35. Installed in the apart-ment, it links the central modules comprising collector panel, buffer tank and complete station with decentral heat generators on each floor – normally gas-fired circulating water boilers or gas-fired combination boilers – to form a complete system. A solar kit ensures that the correct mixture of solar heat and conventionally generated hot water is obtained. Logasol SAT-DES is ideal for apartment blocks with more than three apartments. The system has recently been launched in Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.

The floor station AV35 comprises a stainless steel plate-type heat exchanger and a proportional controller. It delivers 12.5 litres of hot water at 50 degrees C per minute and a flow temperature of 65 degrees C. In terms of domestic water hygiene, the floor station provides optimum protection against Legionella bacteria since the water is heated instantaneously and therefore is not stored for long periods. The built-in proportional controller accurately maintains the set hot water temperature with marginal fluctuations and at the same time reduces the return flow to a minimum, thus ensuring maximum utilisation of the solar energy. A gas-fired circulating water boiler, for instance, only supplies additional heating energy when the heat of the sun is no longer sufficient to heat the water.

With a height of 420 millimetres, a width of 255 millimetres and a depth of 160 millimetres, the floor station is extremely compact. A skilled plumber can install it either on or in the wall with a mounting frame.
