Buderus Logatrend compact valve radiators: Integrated
1K valve saves up to 5 percent energy
Slide rule simplifies hydraulic calibration

Where energy efficiency is concerned, Buderus is pursuing an all-embracing approach. Since 2001, the Bosch Thermotechnology brand has consequently equipped its Logatrend compact valve radiators with valve inserts with particularly precise control. De-pending on the size of the radiator, one of two optimised fitted valves is installed by the manufacturer. In combination with gas-filled ther-mostat heads, this yields a temperature deviation of less than 1 Kelvin over the entire control range, as well as a very low pressure loss. In this way, hydraulically calibrated heating systems can be designed and operated with optimum energy efficiency. Due to their better control response as compared to conventional fitted valves, the Logatrend compact valve radiators can reduce energy consumption by up to 5 percent in new buildings.

Correct dimensioning, adaptation to the specific property and hy-draulic calibration of the entire system are essential for optimum operation. This not only includes dimensioning of the radiators, but also determination of the volumetric flows for every single heater panel. The more precisely they are calibrated, the more energy-efficient the entire system becomes. The correct setting can be obtained simply and without tools by infinite adjustment of the flow coefficient on the external scale.

The ideal radiator for the required output and the applicable system temperatures can be read off on the front of the slide rule.
Slide rule simplifies hydraulic calibration
A handy slide rule for panel radiators now simplifies the process of hydraulic calibration by heating specialists. The ideal radiator for the required output and the applicable system temperatures can be read off on the front. The setting of the fitted valve is quickly and easily calculated on the back of the slide. The corresponding volumetric flow rate is then determined via the rated temperature difference and the useful output. The flow coefficient and corresponding valve setting can be read off after setting the required differential pressure for the valve. Dimensioning the radiators, hydraulic calibration and energy-efficient operation of the entire system can now be achieved in a jiffy.
