It measures just 740 x 400 x 360 millimetres and weighs less than 40 kilograms, yet the new gas-fired circulating water boiler Logamax U042/44 from Buderus reliably supplies a complete apartment or single-family home with heat and hot water. It will be introduced on the Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Serbian, Croatian, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Iranian and Georgian markets in March 2009 to replace the model Logamax U022/24.
With its modulating burner, the circulating water boiler covers the complete output range from 8.9 to 24 kW. It has a bithermal heat exchanger that directly heats both the heating water and the domestic water. Its efficiency in heating mode corresponds to two stars ac-cording to European Council Directive 92/42/EEC. With regard to hot water efficiency, it also achieves two stars as defined by EN13203-1. The combination boiler is available in two versions: the Logamax U044-24 K draws the necessary combustion air from the room in which it is installed, while the Logamax U042-24 K operates independently of the room air.
The circulating water boiler can also be installed in the living area, for it is exceedingly quiet in operation, generating just 39 dbA. Its modern, elegant design also favours such use. An exhaust gas system with a system size of 60/100 millimetres is needed for the Logamax U042-24 K, as compared with a system size of 130 millimetres for the Logamax U044-24 K. Operation of the boilers is simple and self-explanatory: momentary operating states and temperatures are indicated on an LED display on the gas-fired circulating water boiler. It can also be combined with an external 24V controller if desired.
